While browsing an electronic archive I found a nice way to transform a 2-channels (L-left, R-right) sound to a 4-channels sound (L, L+R, R and Rear). All this is done with a single IC : uPC1892.
Here are some features of this IC :
• Three surround modes are available: movie, music and simulated
• Built in volume and balance control (All control voltage: 0 V to 5 V)
• Built in tone control (bass, treble) (All control voltage: 0 V to 5 V)
• Built in L+R output for woofer SP
